Scuttle Buttin'

Hey Guys. Thanks for requesting this awesome SRV Tune! Here are some notes about the video! I wanted to stay true to the original recording. There are more bends happening in there than slides and personally, I like the slides more. I maybe have let one slip after the solo because I had practiced sliding also throughout the week. That was a little flub on my part. I also think that in measure 43, Stevie Ray did slides rather than hammer on’s.

If you are feeling the slides, go for it. Me personally, mine sound sloppy on this part and it just felt more natural for the hammer-on’s. For the guitar tone, I’ve been using Amplitube lately. I’ve been loving that and it’s come a long long way. I’m using a 92 Japanese strat with Texas Special Pickups and Elixir Optiweb 11’s. No 13’s unfortunately.

That would have been difficult but my opinion is that you can get pretty close by using 11’s. Have fun with the tune guys and let me know what you think. Any more Stevie Ray tunes for the future?
