This is a song that been requested many many times, and I’m excited to finally get this up while playing an Airline! This is the Jetsons ‘59 2P, which is made from real wood and has a super rich tone compared to the older models that used the “res-o-glass” fiberglass construction from the 1960s. Thank you so much to Airline for sponsoring this video!
This Jetsons ‘59 2P sounds, and feels, absolutely amazing, and I’m in awe of its vintage vibes. While they’ve re-issued the classic look, the modern additions really elevate the sound. It perfectly fits this video, not only for its retro aesthetic but also because Jack White himself obviously played a similar model (although his was the classic res-o-glass). Be sure to check out Airline at www.airlineguitars.com.
Learning this song was a blast, maybe not super technically challenging, but the challenge of getting the tones right in Amplitube was a lot of tun. For reference, this song is tuned to EAEAC#E and although I don’t usually play with a slide, you absolutely need to with this song! I believe the positioning is accurate, though Jack White likely uses a slide on his pinky finger. Enjoy the video!
